Located in historic downtown Hohenwald, TN - a small town with lots of heart - the High Forest Guesthouse welcomes you with modern elegance and a 1920s architectural design for a truly unique stay.
____
Accommodations include two beautifully appointed suites.
The Voorhies Suite is a one bedroom, one bathroom suite named for Luther Voorhies, who owned the town's hardware store and funeral parlor during the 1920's. During that era, Mr. Voorhies also sold a new machine made by Ford known as the "automobile" as an outgrowth of farm machinery. While building his business during this prosperous time, he built the first Hohenwald Filling Station which was located on Main St. and Park and built this beautiful bungalow home, High Forest Guesthouse.
Augusta's Abode is a three bedroom, two and a half bathroom suite named after Augusta Smith, a German immigrant who in 1878, along with her husband Warren founded the town of Hohenwald. Hohenwald is the German word for "high forest," a term that describes the surrounding countryside and its location just west of Nashville on the Western Highland Rim.
