MEET THE INNKEEPER
Hello! My name is Laura Frances. I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, which once felt like a small town, but has grown significantly over the past decade to become one of the top 10 urban areas for population growth. My husband is from Saint Joseph, MI, a city that has a population of 7,745. Keeping with the small town feel we cherish, we wanted our son to grow up in a community similar to ours. With the purchase of our farm in Hohenwald in 2019, we found ourselves enjoying the countryside on the weekends as we traveled from Nashville and worked on a plan to make Hohenwald our home. In 2021, we finally achieved that. In the months following our move to the farm, we discovered High Forest Guesthouse, formerly Eliza's Suite, for sale and purchased it. As an established Bed and Breakfast, we wished to continue the legacy of the previous owners, but also expand the business to new and exciting levels through providing guests with access to the entire guesthouse. It is an honor to be a member of this community and to share this special place with you! While we don't live on the premises, our farm is right down the road, so we can be as available as needed to our guests, but we try to respect their privacy.
In addition to managing High Forest Guesthouse's day-to-day operations, my time is spent managing additional accommodations on our farms (High Forest Farms), assist with grounds maintenance and gardening, and work as a realtor and property manager. When time permits, I love meeting our guests from all over the world who come to visit us here in Hohenwald, Tennessee.
